Tip 2 – Directories are still worth using if they are over PR2 – Domain Authority 20. Always make sure you check the PR of the directory if you are going to build a link. The reason is if you use a de-indexed directory it can be harmful to your brand.

Tip 3 – Never trust directories which ask you to use reciprocal links, let’s be honest if the directory has a dodgy reciprocal linking strategy then it is probably going to be accepting all types of spam website.

Tip 4 – Never used scraped or spun content on a business website. It is only going to hurt you in the long term if you want to build a viable brand which will last long term.
