GO Rentals is one of New Zealand’s largest independent car rental companies, owner-led and run by a passionate, local team. They’re the first car rental company in NZ to be Toitū net carbonzero certified, and they’re radically changing the way car rentals work with no hidden fees, easy pick-ups and climate-friendly services. Through partnering with Prosperity since 2022, they’ve been able to scale their online visibility to reach both a domestic and global target audience.
The Problem
When GO Rentals approached Prosperity Media in 2022, they had great visibility in New Zealand. Yet, they struggled to rank with a local ccTLD in their main international markets, such as Australia, the UK, and the USA and couldn’t rely only on PPC campaigns.
International car rental giants were able to target global markets with multiple local ccTLDs. Unfortunately, GO Rentals was unable to implement multiple ccTLDs or an hreflang strategy used in standard international SEO campaigns.
