So Yahoo has recently decided it was time to clear out their domain name portfolio. One name which they are selling is SOLD.com.au (which has a modest reserve of 5,000-10,000 USD)

A domain name trader by the name of Snoopy decided to do some research into the domain name SOLD.com.au

He found from a news article in 2001 the domain name had actually exchanged hands for 24 million in 2001 (see news article below)

So you would think Yahoo would have done some research on domains like this before listing them for sale. This domain is clearly worth more than the asking price if they have in fact paid 24 million for the website and name back in 2001.
